PARTNERS IN HEALTH
Human-centered systems that support access, care, and clarity in global health environments.
Overview
Move For Health was a semester-long collaboration with Partners in Health (PIH), a global nonprofit focused on health equity. Our team explored how to increase recurring charitable support by designing a concept that connects everyday fitness habits with donating to causes. After research, ideation, and client reviews, the concept evolved into a fitness app where each achieved goal triggers a small donation to PIH, creating meaningful engagement that fits naturally into people’s daily lives.
MY ROLE
Even as part of a group, I played a major role in shaping the concept and polishing the final prototype. My main contributions included:
- Led interface planning, interaction layout, and visual refinement
- Helped define core app functionality based on user research and feedback
- Built the refined Figma prototype and structured the user flows
- Supported articulation of the idea for the final pitch presentation to PIH
INSPIRATION
PROBLEM
PIH faces a challenge: many people care about global health equity, but rarely make small or recurring donations because the impact feels distant. The goal was to create a mechanism where charitable support feels personal, intuitive, and naturally integrated into users' lives—not something extra or overwhelming.
OUTCOME
The app allows users to set fitness goals and challenges, and each time a goal is completed, a small donation is automatically made to PIH. By linking daily wellness habits to charitable giving, donations feel rewarding and meaningful. The result encourages recurring engagement while supporting a cause in a simple, motivating, and emotionally satisfying way.
